Cowboys rookie camp about to start

In about 10 minutes, the Cowboys' rookies will begin their first minicamp. The minicamp will last through Sunday and it will include at least three open practices. Hashmarks is planning to spend most of its weekend at Valley Ranch detailing every 7-on-7 drill.

My plan is to write a column about first-round selection Felix Jones for Monday, but I could be talked out of that if you're interested in someone else. I'm also intrigued by tight end Martellus Bennett from Texas A&M. From Day 1, he'll become one of the best quotes on the team.

It's too bad the Aggies never figured out what they had in Bennett. When the Cowboys saw Bennett, they thought of Antonio Gates. And that's why they took him with the 61st pick overall instead of grabbing a wide receiver.
