At long last, Commissioner Roger Goodell is meeting with former New England Patriots employee Matt Walsh.

Looking somber and dressed in a dark suit, Walsh arrived at the National Football League office at 7:25 a.m. for his 7:30 meeting with Goodell, who arrived nearly an hour earlier. Walsh did not speak to a cluster of media members on Park Avenue. His attorney, Michael N. Levy, said Walsh's agreement with the league requires him to speak to Goodell first.

But it sounds like Levy is leaving the door open on the possibility of Walsh telling the media what he knows about Spygate. Goodell is scheduled to have a news conference shortly after he finishes the meeting.

A league official said Levy and Walsh have been invited to participate in the news conference, but have yet to give a definitive answer on their intentions.

There's no exact time set for the news conference because league officials said they don't know how long the meeting will take. But the ballroom at a nearby hotel where the news conference will take place has been reserved from 10 a.m. until the mid-afternoon.

Walsh may be pushed for time because he's scheduled to meet with U.S. Senator Arlen Specter at 1:30 p.m. in Washington.
