ESPN colleague Sal Paolantonio and I spent the last few hours scouting out former Patriots employee Matt Walsh in the hotel lobbies, restaurants and bars near NFL headquarters here in New York.
We were unable to come up with any Walsh sightings and we suspect Walsh's lawyer has him tucked away for the night, but we'll be back at it early in the morning. Walsh is scheduled to meet with commissioner Roger Goodell at NFL headquarters starting at 7:30 a.m. Tuesday. It's anyone's guess how long the meeting will take, although Walsh is scheduled to be in Washington, D.C. by early afternoon to meet with Sen. Arlen Specter.
The folks at the NFL offices are expecting a news conference immediately after Goodell and Walsh finish, sometime around the middle of the day. The NFL is saying Goodell, Walsh and Walsh's lawyer will participate.
Paolantonio and I will be there to bring it all to you as it happens.
