It will be interesting to watch John Lynch in the next few months.

Here is a story that illustrates a potential sticky situation for Lynch in Denver. There have been rumblings that not everyone in the organization was on board with the team bringing Lynch back and he clearly thinks the same thing from reading his comments.

With the team bringing in two veterans and a draft pick to compete with Lynch and fellow incumbent starter Hamza Abdullah, there is no sure thing that Lynch makes the team. This is a future hall of famer we're talking about. Yet, Denver could cut him because of a number's game. Thus expect to see a very spirited Lynch in training camp and in the preseason.

I covered Lynch for the past four years and you'd be hard pressed to find a better leader and a tougher competitor. Lynch, who'll be 37 early in the regular season, doesn't need to play, but he wants to play. With the fact that there is some doubt in the organization, watch for Lynch to prove the skeptics wrong and make this team.

Broncos, John Lynch
