Ryan cleans up

One of the most recognizable assistant coaches in the NFL just became far less recognizable.

Oakland defensive coordinator Rob Ryan showed up at the team's minicamp with a much cleaner look. Ryan's trademark wild mane has been shaved to a crew cut to benefit charity. Ryan was walking around the Raiders' facility two weeks ago during the NFL draft with his long, out-of-control 'do.

There was no cooler scene in the NFL last season when the big screen in Oakland showed Ryan going wild after a big Oakland defensive play with his hair flowing. The crowd roared at the sight. Ryan was a perfect Raider with that look.

We'll miss the crazed look but we give a bow to Ryan for the cause.
