Canada is opening up its arms to another NFL flop. According to a report, former Detroit receiver Charles Rogers may be close to signings with Montreal of the Canadian Football League.

Rogers is one of the all--time great draft flops. The Lions took the hometown kid out of Michigan State with the No. 2 overall pick in 2003. Rogers was taken one slot ahead of Andre Johnson by Houston. Johnson, of course, is a Pro bowl player. Rogers is a troubled guy who has had several NFL workouts but has not been signed.

Now, apparently, he moves on to Canada. Good for him. He needs to earn some money in his fight against the Lions and he needs to play. And in the United States, there are no opportunities for him. This is the only move Rogers can make so he needs to make it.
