Steelers like Groves

The Pittsburgh Steelers hosted Auburn defensive end/linebacker Quentin Groves on campus Monday. The team has fallen in love with the Tigers' all-time sack leader, but I still think they'd rather land someone such as Virginia guard Branden Albert, who is also capable of playing tackle.

Based on the fact that Albert suddenly shot up Mel Kiper's Big Board, I'm thinking he might be gone when the Steelers pick at No. 23. I have Albert going No. 21 overall to the Redskins in my latest mock, but I'm having second thoughts.

Regarding Groves, I don't think he's as dynamic as Vernon Gholston, but I think he can be a versatile player for someone. It says a lot that Steelers coach Mike Tomlin went out of his way to attend Groves' pro day, although Tomlin has been very active in the scouting process.

The Steelers don't have to worry about Tampa Bay taking Groves at No. 20 because Jon Gruden covets a wide receiver. At 21, the Cowboys don't need another pass-rushing linebacker.
