Anyone remember the days when Kentucky quarterback Andre Woodson was projected as a first-rounder. Well, things have changed. The New York Giants just landed Woodson with the 198th overall pick in the draft. He'll now compete with Jared Lorenzen for the third-string job.
David Carr was signed to be Eli Manning's backup. In time, Woodson could supplant Carr, whose career will flourish as long as he's not asked to step on the field in the future.
The Giants fans have pretty much cleared out of here. Lot of Jets fans still in the house. Haven't visited with Adam Schefter yet. Think I'll go find him now.
We're still in the sixth round. I expect the seventh round to last a little more than an hour. Remember to stick around to see who lands the title of Mr. Irrelevant. Every year, the last player selected is flown out to California for a week of Irrelevant activities. This blog is now bordering on the irrelevant, but we'll press on. You guys have been a tremendous audience. All 10 of you have provided some wonderful feedback and admiration.
