The Raiders made a questionable pick in the fourth round with their compensation in the Fabian Washington trade to Baltimore. They used it on Richmond receiver Arman Shields. He missed most of last season with a major knee injury. The last thing Oakland needs is another gimpy receiver.

Shields joins a receiving crew that includes Javon Walker, Drew Carter and Ronald Curry. All three have had serious knee issues in the past. Adding a fourth-round pick with a similar medical history doesn't make sense.
