All in the family for Seattle

The Seahawks' newest draft choice, Red Bryant, was at Jacob Green's home when Seattle officials called him to let him know they had selected him. Green, once a dominant pass-rusher for Seattle, is a member of the Seahawks' Ring of Honor. Bryant is engaged to Green's daughter.

"Who is your favorite Seahawks player?" a reporter asked Bryant to kick off his conference call here at the Seahawks' headquarters.

"Jacob Green!" was the emphatic answer.

Smart man. "He is already my father-in-law," Bryant said. "We just have to seal the deal [in a wedding planned for February 2009]."

As for being drafted by Seattle? "I am extremely happy."
