First Take

I just glanced up to see my pals Jeff Chadiha and Michael Smith appearing on "First Take." They're debating whether Dolphins quarterback John Beck or Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers should feel the most pressure after their teams selected Chad Henne and Brian Brohm, respectiveley, on Saturday.

I think it's an easy answer. Rodgers will be given every opportunity to retain the starting job. Brohm wasn't drafted to come in and start. In fact, Ted Thompson is still in the market for a veteran quarterback.

The Dolphins drafted Chad Henne to come in and start. Bill Parcells and Jeff Ireland inherited Beck, which is bad news for him. If they had a lot of confidence in him, they wouldn't have gone after Henne, who is the most experienced quarterback in this draft.

I think it's a safe bet that Beck never starts a game for Miami.
