The parking lot was only partially full when I arrived at Seahawks headquarters a few minutes ago. The team doesn't pick until the 25th spot or possibly later if team president Tim Ruskell moves back in the round, which is a possibility.
Seattle has won the past four NFC West titles, thanks in part to the organization's ability to find linebacker Lofa Tatupu (second round, 2005) and a few other value picks in recent seasons.
The Seahawks will be watching the rest of the division, notably the Rams, who should be much improved in the fall if their offensive line doesn't implode again.
Year after year, the Seahawks hear about how their division rivals are gaining ground. The Cardinals have closed the gap, but Seattle remains the team to beat.
Tight end and receiver seem to be the vogue picks for the Seahawks early in this draft, but I would be surprised if Seattle addressed those positions in the first round. I'll have more on the Seahawks and the NFC West as the day progresses.
