Part of the reason Philadelphia is interested in trading Lito Sheppard is that he wants a new contract. But that could be hurting his trade value.
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers remain interested in Sheppard, but they're no closer to a deal than they were yesterday. In fact, the chances of a trade between the Bucs and Eagles might be diminishing - for the moment anyway.
The Bucs, who have been pretty frugal throughout the offseason, appear to be balking at the kind of money Sheppard is asking for. But keep an eye on this situation because price tags have a way of changing dramatically on draft day.
