Daunte Culpepper is visiting the Green Bay Packers. The Packers are looking for a new backup to Aaron Rodgers, who, of course, has been promoted to starter in the wake of the retirement of Brett Favre,
The free agent form Oakland may be a good fit. Culpepper has never been the same after dealing with knee injuries in recent years, but he is a valuable player who could fill in if Rodgers misses a few games.
If Green Bay signs Culpepper, it could affect its draft plans. There has been some speculation that Green Bay would take a quarterback early, even first-round early. If Culpepper is signed, it is likely the Packers would look at other avenues to help their team other than a backup quarterback.
