New England's Robert Kraft expressed gratitude today for the support his contemporaries showed after the Patriots apologized for Spygate.
"We are a partnership," Kraft said. "Like any good family, we have to discuss our problems. ... The coaches were terrific about it."
Tuesday, in an unexpected and impromptu move, both Kraft and Patriots coach Bill Belichick addressed the rest of the coaches and owners at the league meeting in Palm Beach, Fla. The topic was Spygate, for which the Patriots were penalized by the league last September. The investigation continues by the league concerning potential further allegations.
Several coaches and owners said they appreciated the words of regret expressed by Kraft and Belichick.
