Owners prepare for trivial debates

March 27, 2008 5:24 PM

Just finished reading Johnny Clayton's owners meeting preview. In addition to taking on shoulder-length hair, the owners will discuss expanding the rosters from 80 to 86 players and installing radio devices in the helmets of defensive players.

Someone wake me when it's over. Actually the idea of reseeding the playoffs is a good one. It's embarrassing to watch slightly above-average teams such as the Bucs open at home while teams such as the Jags have to go on the road.

This owners meeting will be remembered as the launching pad for at least two years of labor unrest. This ridiculous hair proposal is a misguided attempt to stick it to the players union.
