Report: Giants-Redskins in season opener

Jason Reid of the Washington Post is reporting that the Redskins will take on the defending Super Bowl champion Giants in the season opener Sept. 4. The Super Bowl winner has hosted the opening game since 2004.

This will mark Jim Zorn's first game as Redskins head coach. The league is currently talking to NBC about moving the Thursday night game from 8:30 p.m. ET to 7 p.m. because it would be the final night of the Republican National Convention.
