Pacman circling the wagons

March 25, 2008 12:45 PM

Hashmarks is heading over to our Arlington, Texas, bureau to visit with Titans cornerback Adam "Pacman" Jones. So far, Jones' agent, Manny Arora, has refused to let any reporters talk to his client.

So far, Michael Irvin and his co-host Kevin Kiley have discussed the difference between strip clubs and gentleman's establishments with Pacman. This is riveting stuff. Irvin has promised to talk about the "root" of Pacman's problems instead of the "fruit."

I don't mind saying that I'd prefer focusing on the the fruit of the problem. That's a lot more interesting than hearing about how Pacman surrounded himself with the wrong people. I have no earthly idea what I'd talk to this man about for three hours on the radio.

If you're into this sort of thing, my old outfit is live-blogging Pacman's radio appearance. I'm completely serious. And just a tad bit embarrassed.

One quick note on Pacman before I head over to meet with him: Chris Mortensen said last night that he couldn't be traded until commissioner Roger Goodell lifted his suspension. The way it's been explained to me, though, is that teams are free to execute a trade during his suspension. I'll try to clarify that for you guys today.

"It's getting to the point where it ain't no time for slip-ups right now," Pacman just said. "It's like I'm on the cliff right now. One slip-up and it's off the cliff."
