Gruden participates in Caddyshack III

World-renown golf instructor Butch Harmon fired one of his most popular clients after an embarrassing display during the PODS Championship near Tampa, Fla, over the weekend.

In typical form, John Daly spent a 2 1/2-hour rain delay during the first round relaxing in a Hooters corporate tent behind the 17th green. For those of you who don't follow golf, this is not standard protocol on tour. In fact, I can't recall ever bumping into Tigers Woods in a Hooters corporate tent during a round.

When play resumed, Daly replaced his regular caddie with Buccaneers coach Jon Gruden, whose game plan led to a 77. This may have been the final straw for Harmon, also Tiger's former swing coach.

"Jon Gruden caddying, I thought was ridiculous," Harmon said. "I thought he made a circus out of the whole event."
