A company called VIZIO asked three former GMs (Ron Wolf, Tom Donahoe, Ernie Accorsi) to come up with a list of players whose performances this season far exceeded their contracts.

Here's who they come up with:

  • QB David Garrard, Jacksonville: Led the Jaguars to the playoffs and was the league's third-rated passer (102.2). He made $1.1 million this season.
  • KR/WR Devin Hester, Chicago: The most exciting player in football made $1.2 million. Even though teams often kicked away from him, he still had six returns for touchdowns.
  • WR Greg Jennings, Green Bay: At $364,000, Jennings was one of the biggest bargains in the league. He averaged 17.4 yards per reception and was fourth in the league with 12 touchdowns.
  • RB Brandon Jacobs, New York Giants: His 91.7 yards per game average ranked third among running backs. He fought through injuries while making $440,000.
  • WR Brandon Marshall, Denver: Finished with 102 receptions and 1,325 yards and seven touchdowns while making $366,000.
  • QB Derek Anderson, Cleveland: The former sixth-round draft pick by the Ravens made $440,000 this season. He led the Browns to a 10-win season and finished with 3,787 passing yards and 29 touchdowns.
