Living in Texas, I've never heard the weatherman predict a high of 2 degrees. I thought it was cold in Minneapolis on Dec. 17 when John Clayton refused to roll up his windows, but the forecast for Sunday's NFC Championship Game is chilling.
It's strange to see a picture of the sun above a predicted high of 5 degrees Sunday. Can you imagine getting hit by Osi Umenyiora in that weather. I'm pretty sure I read that the coldest weather the Giants played in this season was 36 degrees.
Werder's already on the ground in Green Bay and has promised to file daily weather updates. He's also making dinner reservations for Saturday night, so help him out. Does Green Bay have a great steak house? I'm assuming it's not a community that specializes in Tex-Mex.
In unrelated news, Scott Drew's squad took another step toward an NCAA Tournament bid last night. I may have been the only person in America flipping back and forth between Baylor-Oklahoma State and a replay of Saturday's Jags-Pats game.
I have the Bears slated as a No. 10 seed at this point, but Joe Lunardi's says we're a No. 12 in his latest Bracketology rankings.
