Where will Dunn end up?

As many of you already know, the Atlanta Falcons released veteran running back Warrick Dunn earlier today. You could see this coming when the club signed former Chargers running back Michael Turner to a six-year, $34.5 million contract Sunday.

Dunn, an 11-year NFL veteran, is a former NFL Man of the Year award winner who still has some tread left on the tires. I think his days as a starter might be over, but he could still give you 12 carries a game and be a threat to catch passes out of the backfield.

Who could use another tailback?

The Cowboys and Bears certainly come to mind. Without Thomas Jones to share the load, Cedric Benson was awful this season. And Dunn would be a nice complement to Marion Barber's bruising style.

I also know that Bill Parcells is a great admirer of Dunn's work. Dunn's old team, the Buccaneers, are also searching for help at running back. In the right situation, Dunn could still be an effective back in the league.

You'd like to see him receive the opportunity to finish out his career with a contender.
