As some of you know, Vikings quarterback Tarvaris Jackson visits Hashmarks on a semi-regular basis. When I spoke to him earlier this month he was excited about the prospect of adding another receiver to the roster, preferably one with reliable hands and moderate speed.
Jackson was so eager to land a receiver that he actually drove to Mobile to watch some of the Senior Bowl practices. Now, it looks like his Vikings have zeroed in on Bears receiver Bernard Berrian, who is hoping to land at least a $12 million signing bonus. He reportedly turned down the Bears' latest offer, a five-year, $25 million offer that guaranteed him $8 million.
The Vikings are also interested in Bengals defensive end Justin Smith and safety Madieu Williams, who both played for defensive coordinator Leslie Frazier when he was in Cincinnati.
