Report: Barber will start

Senior Hashmarks correspondent Ed Werder just called from a playoff watching cookout to inform us that Cowboys running back Marion Barber will start for the first time this season in Sunday's divisional playoff game against the Giants.

Barber has emerged as the team's feature back with 204 carries for 975 yards and 10 touchdowns, but Julius Jones had remained the starter. We told you earlier this week that we were hearing rumblings that Barber might have 20-24 carries Sunday, and this move backs that up.

He has run for 100 yards three times this season. He has 23 carries for 99 yards and a touchdown in two games against the Giants.
