Just around the corner from the media "workroom" is a large blue curtain offering players some privacy as they undergo physicals. There are four teams assigned to each room.
Cowboys trainers Britt Brown and Greg Gaither are facilitating the exams. Most teams have at least two doctors surrounding the tables. One player told me earlier today that a team doctor examined his knee that wasn't injured.
"I wasn't going to tell him," said the player, who obviously asked to remain anonymous.
The Cowboys have sent four doctors and a radiologist to the combine. They have two spine specialists and two orthopedists.
"It's basically like a cattle call," said Gaither. "We start them at 7 a.m. and just keep them rolling."
All 32 teams will send representatives back to Indianapolis a month from now for re-examinations. This is to measure how players are re-habbing from injuries and to make sure doctors didn't miss anything. One of the Cowboys' doctors is a good friend, so I'll see what if he'll shed a little more light on the process later.
