Browns fire defensive coordinator

Browns defensive coordinator Todd Grantham has gone from being an in-house candidate to replace Romeo Crennel to not having a job. It's funny to imagine GM Phil Savage and his staff watching film of Grantham's TV interviews to see if he projected as a head coach.

Browns secondary coach Mel Tucker Jr. is apparently the leading candidate to replace Grantham, but don't be surprised if they try to interview Cowboys secondary coach Todd Bowles.

Bowles has quietly developed a great reputation around the league and one of his close friends, Anthony Lynn, is the running backs coach for the Browns.
