Pats will trade FGs for TDs

In case you were wondering, that was linebacker Kawika Mitchell shooting through the gap on Laurence Maroney's touchdown run. Mitchell had a clean shot at Maroney, but he flat out missed him. Pats 7, Giants 3.

By the way, the Giants' opening drive was the longest in Super Bowl history. The Patriots are waiting until the last second, and then making a lot of personnel changes on defense. We're seeing a lot more of Brandon Meriweather at safety than I expected.

The Giants are picking on Ellis Hobbs. Great adjustment by Amani Toomer on the sideline. Oops. Replays just showed that he grabbed Hobbs' facemask and pushed off before the catch.
