Johnny Clayton's Giants pool report just hit local newsstands. The announcement sent reporters scrambling toward the quote sheets table in the media center.
Burress, who is questionable for Super Bowl XLII because of an injured right ankle, attempted to do some things in the individual portion of Friday's 80-minute practice at the Cardinals' practice complex.
"He did run a few things in individual," Giants coach Tom Coughlin said. "He ran a couple of slants. He took a play in the 'green' zone and that was about all we did with him."
According to Clayton, Burress stood on the side during the team portion of practice. Defensive end Osi Umenyiora missed Friday's practice with a sore thigh, but he's still listed as probable.
Cornerback Kevin Dockery (hip flexor) and Rich Seubert (knee) both practiced.
