Commissioner Roger Goodell said he thought the Patriots' improper videotaping practices, as exposed during the Spygate investigation, were a mostly isolated incident. "We think it was not something that was done on a widespread basis," he said. This flies counter to some contentions that many teams operated similarly, but only the Patriots were caught. But we would not expect Goodell to say anything differently without hard evidence.
