I realize we're a little late to the party on this, but thought you might be interested to know that the senior editor of the Jacksonville Jaguars' Web site, Vic Ketchman, took a shot at the Patriots in his 2007 power rankings this season.
Perhaps forgetting that Bill Belichick owns the most comprehensive bulletin board in sports, Ketchman placed an asterisk next to the Patriots' No. 1 ranking and then provided the following explanation: "Cheated in one game."
It's been a few months since I reviewed the protocol on team Web site editors talking trash, but it doesn't seem like a great idea. Maybe the team sites could sort of ease into this by taunting each other over who has the best home page - or perhaps who breaks the most in-house stories.
I'm curious which team sites you like the most. I know our friend Geoff Hobson does a great job on the Bengals site. The folks in Dallas also do a nice job. Let me hear from you.
What are the odds that Belichick calls out Ketchman in the post-game news conference? I'm rooting for that outcome.
