We're back with our 23-category Patriots roster. The Patriots feature the NFL's second-oldest overall roster and eighth-oldest starters. Only the Redskins are older, one through 53. Those figures are calculated using players' ages today (as opposed to their ages on their most recent birthdays), and excluding players on various reserve lists (injured reserve, reserve/future, reserve/PUP, etc.). New England has eight players on injured reserve. The Giants have 13. The league average is 10. Dallas has the fewest players on IR (two). As Wade Phillips might say, the healthiest team did not advance to the Super Bowl.

Earlier: Giants roster.
