Patriots quarterback Tom Brady's right foot has become the first major storyline of Super Bowl XLII. Here's the exclusive video of him limping into his girlfriend Gisele Bundchen's New York apartment Monday.
You have to love the friendly banter from the photographer as he tries to force a smile out of Brady. And who are those guys with the luggage? I thought one of them was Heath Evans for a second, but I'm told Evans no longer carries Brady's luggage.
Seems like a lot of luggage for a short stay. The good news for Patriots fans is that Brady was wearing gray cowboy boots at dinner. I was thrilled to see him leaving the restaurant Butter.
That's where I dined with LA Times NFL writer Sam Farmer the night before the Giants-Patriots game last month. Sam recommends the veal, but the steak was excellent. If you go, ask to sit in the Birch Room. Butter is going with sort of a woodsy motif that seemed a bit weird until I found out Tom and Gisele liked it.
Enjoy the orange-hued lights and forest mural on the main floor. Tom and I give this place a big thumbs up. The service was a bit spotty, but then, I wasn't out with a supermodel. (No offense Sam).
Later today, we'll have a discussion about the man who will replace Brady in the Super Bowl. And one more thing: Do they not have leash laws in New York?
