The Chargers can still secure the AFC's third seed even if they lose to the Broncos or Raiders in the final two games of the regular season.
Losing one of those games would leave San Diego with a 10-6 record. The Chargers would be the third seed in that case only if Pittsburgh lost at Baltimore. In that case, the Chargers and Steelers would have 10-6 records. They did not play each other this season, but the Chargers would have the better conference record (8-4 to 7-5).
It's tough to imagine the Steelers losing to the Ravens, but they did lose to the Jets. Two victories by the Chargers would leave San Diego as the third seed, no matter what the Steelers do.
