T.O. leaves on crutches

Cowboys receiver Terrell Owens left Bank of America Stadium on crutches and wearing a walking boot on his injured left ankle. At least 40 reporters and cameramen surrounded T.O. as he addressed the injury, which owner Jerry Jones is calling a high ankle sprain.

"I've been through this before," T.O. said. "God is good. It could've been worse. I have the bye week, and I have all the confidence in the world that I'll be back."

Owens said he will undergo an MRI tomorrow, but X-rays at the stadium were negative.

"We had our doctors and the Panthers' doctor give him a checkup," Jones said. "The preliminary X-rays were not bad. We know that T.O. is a quick healer and he is in good spirits. We know these high ankle sprains can be aggravating, but we are hoping for a quick recovery."

T.O.'s agent, Drew Rosenhaus, carried the receiver's bags to the team bus.
