Terrell Owens says he was kidding Wednesday when he suggested that Tony Romo's relationship with Jessica Simpson was causing the quarterback to lose focus.
He apologized to Romo and even offered to call Simpson. Many of you believe that ESPN somehow inhabited T.O.'s body and planted these quotes on him due to the fact he's become an incredible bore.
Sadly, though, it will probably be spring 2009 before we have the technology to pull this off. In other news, T.O. issued a blanket JK (just kidding) regarding his past comments about quarterbacks Jeff Garcia and Donovan McNabb.
Two years ago, Owens became the first professional athlete to write a book detailing the horror of being told to "shut up" in the Eagles huddle. Before that, he famously questioned his former 49ers teammate Garcia's sexual preference.
We now have evidence that Owens was grinning during that interview with Playboy magazine, thus negating nearly all of his inflammatory comments.
