Most of the Cowboys have spent the week talking about how important it is to win home-field advantage in the playoffs. When he wasn't extolling the virtues of the NFL Network, owner Jerry Jones was talking about how "stark" and "intimidating" Green Bay can be in January.
But during last Friday's news conference, head coach Wade Phillips didn't sound as worried about playing at Lambeau Field. In fact, he pretty much dismissed the Packers running game.
"If it's bad weather and they can't throw and they gotta go with their running game, that wouldn't be too bad," he said.
I'm a little surprised that didn't make its way onto a bulletin board in Green Bay, but I haven't heard anyone mention it.
Phillips usually plays it close to the vest during news conferences, but every couple of weeks or so, he'll let his guard down.
It's an interesting point he makes, though. Could the Cowboys be better equipped to win at Lambeau than the Packers? It sounds crazy, but there might be something there.
