Three of four NFC West teams will emerge from Week 10 with victories. Arizona beat Detroit. St. Louis upset New Orleans. And Seattle is beating San Francisco. But we still must ask: Is there a weaker division in the NFL this season? The AFC West and NFC South are in the running.
It's hard to envision the 49ers winning another game with their offense functioning at its current level. I watched the Rams play yesterday and Marc Bulger was very, very good in that game. They can win at San Francisco next week. At their worst this season, the Rams could not function offensively. But the 49ers appear incapable of playing at the level St. Louis reached in New Orleans. Bulger was sensational, and defensive coordinator Jim Haslett showed some creativity in his blitz packages.
