Ground game gives Niners best chance

This place is out of hand noise-wise. The 49ers simply cannot function offensively when they have to throw the ball. One more big play by the Seattle defense could turn this game into a rout. The 49ers are wise to keep things on the ground, even on some passing downs. It's the best way to keep Seattle's speedy pass rushers honest. The alternative is to put the game on Alex Smith's shoulders, risking sacks and turnovers.
