Running back missed block on safety

Colts defensive end Dwight Freeney beat Jaguars left tackle Khalif Barnes around the corner for the safety-inducing sack that helped to put away Jacksonville tonight. That was only part of the story. Jags coach Jack Del Rio said the play called for a running back to chip Freeney on the play. Freeney made a great play and might have gotten there anyway. But if Barnes was expecting chip help to the outside, that serves as a bit of a mitigator. I'd have to go back to see which running back was in the game at the time, not that it matters much now.
