I interrupt this Cowboys blog to bring you news from around the league. Guys, just bear with me for a few more days, and the "Duel in Dallas" will be over. But here's a little something to tide you over while we prepare for the greatest regular-season game of the 21st century:
- An NFL Special Master has given the Falcons a favorable ruling in their attempt to recoup bonus money from suspended quarterback Michael Vick. The NFLPA will now appeal the ruling to our old friend Judge David Doty in Minneapolis.
- In other Vick news, some enterprising fraternity brothers at Texas Tech thought it might be fun to depict the hanging of Texas A&M's beloved mascot, Reveille, on a T-shirt.
- The Bengals will be down a cornerback against the Chiefs on Sunday. Johnathan Joseph learned what can happen on the mean streets of Northern Kentucky.
- Paul Schwartz wonders if Tom Coughlin made the right decision benching Giants CB Aaron Ross for the first half of Sunday's Jets game. He's worried that punishing a single player could force his teammates to suffer. Really?
- Ken Whisenhunt has found a way to avoid a quarterback controversy.
- Gil Lebreton thinks Tony Romo should've been yanked from Monday's game. Sure, that makes total sense. Send your franchise quarterback to the showers when your team's trailing by a touchdown at halftime.
