Mangold's Halo A Good Fit

Jets center Nick Mangold is apparently addicted to Halo 3. I may line him up for a guest-blogging appearance next week if anyone's interested.

This is from his blog: Halo 3 has graced us with its presence. I was never big into video games until my college roommate introduced me to Halo. For those who haven't enjoyed the greatness that follows Halo around like Linus' blanket, it is a sci-fi first-person-shooter video game. You can play by yourself or join others online to play as a group. Since my introduction to Halo I have wasted many hours of my life to the game. When I first arrived at the Jets, it was a pleasant surprise to learn that many of my teammates enjoy the game as much as I do. During training camp it gets pretty intense with different Halo competitions and rivalries. I think it gives us a simple escape from the rigors of practice and meetings.

Pretty strong effort from Mr. Mangold. You have to respect a man who can pull a "Peanuts" reference on short notice.

Loved spending my day off with you guys. I'll be writing a column off Sunday's Rams-Cowboys game, so I'll meet you back here Monday. Oh, and thanks for everyone who emailed about the steroid allegation. That short headline on the homepage (Mosley alleged to have used BALCO drugs) was definitely halting.

Nick Mangold, Linus
