The Giants received some good news Thursday when starting receiver Plaxico Burress found out that his sore ankle was only a bad sprain. He's having a monster season so far and doesn't want to disrupt his chemistry with quarterback Eli Manning.
And Burress' decision to play through the pain has fired up coach Tom Coughlin, who's usually such a gentle soul.
"Plaxico wants to play and do whatever he can, be in the fray and help his teammates win," Coughlin said. "You'd love to have him practice, but we're going to have a routine. He'll catch and work with permission from the medical people a little on Fridays and hopefully be ready to go on Sundays."
Even Serby's fallen under Burress' spell.
