Hashmarks Final Preseason Power Rankings

In the past, some of you have been kind enough to ask why I often take four or five-hour breaks between entries. The obvious answer is that it takes time to research complicated stories, such as Bears linebacker Lance Briggs leaving his $350,000 Lamborghini on the side of the road at 3 a.m. on a Monday.

In this day and age, it's refreshing to see a young man attempting to report for work so early, and it's too bad that far less esteemed bloggers chose to ridicule Briggs for his old-fashioned work ethic.

Another reason you might not hear from me for a while is that our blog tool has a small glitch that renders it useless at least 15 hours a day. The good news is that we're in the process of addressing this situation.

With that out of the way, here are my final preseason power rankings, which I'll defend later this week.
