My pal Goose Gosselin chose defensive tackle Joe Greene over quarterback Terry Bradshaw. Here's his list of the 32 greatest Steelers.
And please e-mail him to voice your displeasure over running backs Frank Pollard and Walter Abercrombie being left off the list. The Galloping Baptists combined for 1,842 yards and 10 touchdowns in 1985, but they've always been overshadowed by Franco Harris, who checks in at No. 4 on the list.
Pollard and Abercrombie joined former Baylor backs such as Dennis Gentry, Alfred Anderson and Allen Rice to briefly wrestle the Running Back U title away from USC in the early 1980s.
It's also believed their efforts gave the university the courage to break away from the Southern Baptist Convention in 1991, which had many positve effects, but sadly led to the downfall of the football program and its spiritual leader, Grant Teaff.
The program is now led by a Methodist who's rumored to use strong language as well as smokeless tobacco products.
Back with more NFL coverage in a moment.
