Morning Hash

  • League says it's "premature" to rule on Pacman Jones, but Titans head coach Jeff Fisher has already moved on.

"I don't know whether it's true or not, but to me I have moved on," Fisher said. "If it's true it's Pac's issue. If it's not true it's Pac's issue. It's no longer our issue. We have moved on and we will wait to see what happens."

The Titans should eventually cut their losses with Jones. I know he wasn't in the vehicle Monday morning when shots were fired, but his presence at a strip club at 4 a.m. is evidence enough that he's  incapable of putting himself in a good situations. Even if he's not allowed in the Titans' practice facility, Jones is still a dark cloud that hangs over the organization. As I said yesterday, there's a pretty good chance we never see the guy on the field again.

At this point, he'd be wise to place himself in house arrest.

  • Turns out Packers linebacker Nick Barnett is no stranger to the club scene. In 2005, he opened Five Six Ultra Lounge in Green Bay, but finally sold the place last year after a bitter dispute with the city over his liquor license. He was arrested at a club named Wet in Appleton early Sunday morning.

If you are a Packers player, just stick with the Wooden Nickel. Unless you're particularly upset with the elderly population, you're far less likely to wind up in an altercation.

  • "Big Daddy" Wilkinson's contract has been terminated in Miami. Like most players, he announced his retirement in an AAMCO Transmissions press release.
  • A movie on the life and times of Ryan Leaf is in the works, and the director has already located a Newark-based Trent Dilfer lookalike.
  • Bears lineman "just kidding" about campaigning for McNabb. And the joke seems to be going over well at Halas Hall.
  • Childress lists top six things Vikings fans have to look forward to.

Cadillac Williams, Dan Wilkinson, Jeff Fisher, Pacman Jones, Nick Barnett, Ryan Leaf, Tommie Harris, Brad Childress
