II playoffs.

Jesse McKenzie (La Quinta, Garden Grove): Blasted a three-run home run to lead the Aztecs to a 10-1 Garden Grove League win over Bolsa Grande of Garden Grove. The win gave La Quinta its 17th straight league title, adding on to its own state record established during the 2007 season.
Bobby Mendoza (Dinuba): In a 20-1 pounding of Reedley Immanuel in a Central Sequoia League contest, Mendoza was definitely above his own line, going four for five at the plate and scoring six runs. Teammate Michael Flores added five RBIs in the easy victory.

He closed out the regular season by collecting 15 total bases in Chatsworth's final two games. In a 9-1 victory over Granada Hills and a stunning 11-7 loss to Woodland Hills Taft, Weissberg was six for eight with three home runs and eight RBIs. With Cleveland of Reseda winning its finale over Birmingham of Lake Balboa, the Chancellors made it interesting after falling behind 11-4. Weissberg hit a three-run home run, his second of the day, to cut into Taft's lead but the game ended with two runners stranded.
