The lefthander pitched a complete game three-hit shutout with 11 strikeouts and hit his state leading 10th home run in leading Drake (13-5) to the tournament title with a 15-0 victory over Bishop O'Dowd of Oakland. The 6-2 junior also had an RBI double in the first inning, was 2-for-3, and reached base four times (error and hit by pitch). He finished with four RBIs and three runs scored.
