Bears improved to 5-1 on the season.
Amir Carlisle (King's Academy, Sunnyvale): It's a second-straight appearance for this junior, who has already verballed to Stanford. He went over 200-yards again this week with a 16-carry, 227-yard, and three-TD performance as the Knights blasted visiting Atherton Menlo-Atherton 45-19.
Tevin Carter (Santee, Los Angeles): Sprinting sensation and returning all-city wide out put on a show out of state, but it was a long ride home from Sparks, Nevada as Spanish Springs won 41-24. Child's two rushing touchdowns and two interceptions were made even more sweet by the fact they came during a 35-7 victory over SGVL rival Paramount.
Kaden Cline (Beyer, Modesto): He did all he could against Enochs of Modesto to try and get the Patriots their second win, but his 10 receptions for 223 yards and three TDs wasn't enough in a 48-26 loss.
Carl Cox (Terra Nova, Pacifica): Running the spread offense is working well for this small, but lightning quick quarterback. This past week at San Mateo Aragon, he registered 508 total yards and four touchdowns in a 42-14 win. Kevin Ervin (Poly, Sun Valley): On only eight carries, Ervin gained 169 yards and scored five touchdowns in Poly's 74-0 victory over Van Nuys. Wolves' coach Sean Pollard was not happy with Poly coach Scott Faer for reportedly keeping his starters in the game way too long after building a 30-0 lead at the end of the first quarter. It was one of the most lopsided scores in L.A. City Section history on a weekend in which there were routs all over the City.

Rashon Harper (El Camino Real, Woodland Hills): ECR didn't attempt a single pass in its double-wing O, and with a back like Harper, why would you if you didn't have to? He went for 254 yards and scored six touchdowns to lead the Conquistadores to a 47-24 victory over winless Birmingham of Lake Balboa. ECR is hoping to take the West Valley League title over cross-town Taft and win the L.A. City Section Div. II title.

Casey Nielsen (Gahr, Cerritos): Passed for 360 yards and four touchdowns, but it wasn't enough as the Gladiators fell to Downey in SGVL play, 35-34. Nielsen's No. 1 target Shaan Johnson hauled in nine catches for 219 yards and two scores.
Brett Nottingham & Bryce McGovern (Monte Vista, Danville): The previously state-ranked Mustangs went down to a second straight defeat, 24-21, to Pleasanton Amador Valley in overtime, but this pair certainly can't be blamed. Brown-Ryan, making his second straight appearance in this feature, ran 15 times for 202 yards and four touchdowns.
Dalton Turay (Amador Valley, Pleasanton): The Dons got 170 yards rushing and a key fumble recovery by Turay in a 24-21 victory over previously state-ranked Danville Monte Vista. The Mustangs were driving toward a winning touchdown in regulation when, as the pile was being pushed toward the goal line with less than a minute to play, the referees ruled Turay had pulled the ball from away at the Amador one-yard-line.
