Montigo Alford (Summit, Fontana): Rushed for 267 yards and four TDs and caught a 25-yard touchdown pass as the Skyhawks downed Sultana of Hesperia, 42-20.
Avondre Bollar (Thousand Oaks): Did it all in T.O.'s 50-0 win over Simi Valley. Passing the ball, he accounted for 117 yards and two touchdowns. He added two touchdowns on the ground and also hit pay dirt on a 45-yard interception return.
Tra'mayne Bondurant (Fairfield): In one of the wildest games of the week, a 62-42 loss by the Falcons to Benicia, Bondurant was simply remarkable. He completed 26 of 45 passes for 429 yards and six touchdowns with two interceptions. He also ran 13 times for 107 yards. According to Paul Farmer of the Fairfield Daily Republic, Bondurant's passing yards and 536 total yards are both Fairfield city records, his attempts tied a city record and his completions set a school record. In four of Fairfield's five games, he's had a hand in all the Falcons' scoring. On the season, he's also passed for 1,208 yards (18 TDs) and has rushed for 347 yards (five TDs.).
Antonio Bray (Arleta): Transfer from hit pay dirt twice and rushed for 133 yards on only nine carries in Arleta's 28-21 victory over Poly of Sun Valley. Bray, who previous played at Alemany of Mission Hills and Canyon, added a 92-yard kickoff return and finished with 249 all-purpose yards for a team tat has yet to lose on the field. In five games, he's rushed for 567 yards and scored 12 touchdowns while sharing running duties with returning All-City back Omar Sanchez.
Demetrius Brown-Ryan (St. Mary's, Berkeley): The senior running back has put huge back-to-back weeks together for the 4-1 Panthers. Two games ago in a 42-28 win against Piedmont, he rushed for 260 yards on 33 carries with two touchdowns. Last weekend, he went for 188 yards on 37 carries and two TDs in a 26-20 victory over Vallejo St. Patrick St. Vincent. That was the fourth time the workhorse has had over 30 carries this season. He now has 794 yards on 154 rushes with seven trips to pay dirt.
Jae Byun (Sunny Hills, Fullerton): Rolled up 269 yards on 27 carries and three TDs (3, 80, 5) in a 25-23 win over University of Irvine.
Richard Calhoun (Alhambra, Martinez): One of the big reasons the Bulldogs have started 5-1 this season is because of this 5-9, 175-pound workman-like senior running back. In a 27-24 home win against Moraga Campolindo, he carried 36 times for 236 yards and two visits to the end zone. The leading reported rusher in the North Coast Section now has 984 yards and 12 touchdowns.
Amir Carlisle (King's Academy, Sunnyvale): The junior, who has already verballed to Stanford, rushed for 225 yards and three touchdowns, including an 85-yarder, to lead the Knights to a 35-27 come-from-behind win over San Mateo Aragon. He added a 98-yard kickoff return in the first-ever night game on Aragon's campus.
Marquel Carter (Culver City): First-year Culver City head coach Jahmal Wright has quite a weapon in Carter, who has lead the Centaurs to a 4- record with the only loss coming against state No. 3 Crenshaw. Carter helped his team bounce back from the loss against the Shaw by completing 31 of 45 passes for 473 yards and three touchdowns. He converted Culver City's two touchdowns and threw the game-winning pass to Noah Ashley in the 35-32 victory over Redondo.
Josh Cena (Nevada Union, Grass Valley): He may not be John Cena of WWE fame, but evidently the opposing quarterback didn't see this Miner in the secondary when trying to throw the ball down the field as he intercepted three passes in Nevada Union's 41-23 win over Franklin of Stockton.
Corey Chapman (Buhach Colony, Atwater): He more than made up for not being able to play in B.C.'s previous game as he rushed for 240 yards and scored five touchdowns in a 36-28 win over Atwater. The Thunder rallied from a double-digit deficit to win in the fourth annual Bloss Bowl.
Ethan Clark (Monterey Trail, Elk Grove): Without playing on offense, he managed to touch the ball a lot for the Mustangs against Bethel of Vallejo. Clark had two interceptions, recovered two fumbles, and scooped up a blocked punt and returned it for six points in his team's 39-0 victory.
Brennan Clay (Scripps Ranch, San Diego): Gained 241 yards on 17 carries, four of which resulted in touchdowns of 1, 41, 25 and 41 yards, as the Falcons had no trouble with University City of San Diego, 45-7.
Jon Concetti (South Torrance): Had a big game against Peninsula of Palos Verdes Estates, passing for 400 yards and three touchdowns. Concetti needed some big help, however, in order for his team to pull out a 27-24 victory. Concetti was sacked six times, three times by Peninsula's Austin Smith. The game went into overtime, with the Panthers nailing a field goal on their first possession. When South got the ball, they faced a fourth down and goal from the Peninsula four-yard line when Concetti was cold-cocked by a blitzing Smith. The ball popped loose, but RB Tyler Glandorff had his head on a swivel, and he alertly scooped up the ball and found pay dirt to give the Spartans a miraculous three-point win.
Michael Cunningham (Alameda): Seemed to like the turf at Pinole Valley after rushing for 222 yards and two TDs in a 23-6 Hornets road victory.
K.J. Cusack (St. Joseph, Santa Maria): On the first offensive play of the game, he took a carry and went 69 yards for a score. He finished with an eight-carry, 213-yard, and three-touchdown night in a 52-0 win over Santa Maria. The Knights remain undefeated in Los Padres League action.
Josh Dean & Russ Abdulla (Dana Hills, Dana Point): Dean was 17-of-22 for 291 yards and three TDs passing and Abdulla was on the receiving end of six of those tosses for 164 yards and a TD in a 57-0 win over El Modena.
Victor Dean (Lincoln, San Diego): Moved to No. 6 on the CalHiSports.com state record book list for reception yardage, as he caught 14 passes for 329 yards and four first half TDs in a 41-34 loss to Mission Bay of San Diego.
Jack Dilbeck (Huntington Beach): Crossed the goal line four times while amassing 249 yards on 31 carries to lead the Oilers to a 49-35 win over San Juan Hills.
Blake Downey (Marywood-Palm Valley): Rushed for seven TDs, while gaining 215 yards on just 10 carries, and passed for two more while throwing for 106 in a 72-44 win over Temecula Prep. He also had nine solo tackles on defense in the 8-man contest.
Chris Eke (Gunderson, San Jose): Grizzlies star had 270 yards rushing, 60 receiving and four total touchdowns as Gunderson improved to 4-1 with a 35-24 win against San Jose Prospect.
Deon Eley (Weston Ranch, Stockton): He helped make sure the Cougars wouldn't be shut out for a third straight game by scoring one of their two punt return touchdowns of the game, That came from 60 yards out and he later added a 98-yard interception return for six points as Weston Ranch defeated East Union of Manteca, 27-7, in Valley Oak League play.
Javier Eligio & Hugo Orozco (Cloverdale): Eligio rushed for four touchdowns and Orozco booted a 44-yard field goal that would have gone 60 yards, plus the kicker was 8 of 8 on PATs, in the Eagles' 67-14 rout of Lower Lake.
David Franco (Bell): In a tense 13-7 victory over nearby Garfield of Los Angeles, Franco was all over the place on defense. He collected six solo tackles, assisted two others and returned an interception 50 yards for a score. He had two interceptions during the six-point victory.
Garrett Fulbright (Whittier Christian, La Habra): Scored five TDs while gaining 261 yards on 36 carries in a 33-7 smothering of Kern Valley of Lake Isabella.
Ricky Galvin (Berkeley): Rushed for 207 yards, most of which came in the first quarter, and scored five first-quarter touchdowns, leading the visiting Yellowjackets to a 69-0 rout of hapless Richmond De Anza. Galvin had a pair of 5-yard touchdown runs to go along with scoring runs of 58, 55 and 34 yards.
Jose Garcia (Pacifica, Oxnard): Led a Tritons rushing attack that gained over 400 yards in a 42-14 win over Santa Barbara as he ran for 134 yards on 22 carries and scored five touchdowns.
Mitch Glasmann & Antoine Arnold (Chaparral, Temecula): Although running time was used in the second half, Glasmann tossed for 223 yards and four TDs and Arnold had three TD receptions in a 70-0 win over Cathedral City.
Miles Godfrey & Ivan Schroeder (Orange Glen, Escondido): Godfrey completed 19-of-33 passes for 382 yards and three TDs while Schroeder was on the receiving end of four for 178 yards and TDs of 84 and 57 yards in a 68-32 loss to Mt. Carmel of San Diego.
Dano Graves (Folsom): He continues to put up big numbers every week and this week was no different, as Graves completed 23-of-28 passes for 401 yards and six touchdowns. He also rushed for 121 yards and a touchdown in the Bulldogs' 55-33 win over Casa Roble of Orangevale.
Titus Grayson (Mt. Whitney, Visalia): Sparked a huge second-half comeback for the Pioneers as he returned the second half kickoff 92 yards while also contributing in the passing game with nine receptions for 154 yards and two touchdowns in a 40-27 win over Golden West.
Trey Hairabedian (Vista del Lago, Folsom): He single-handedly outscored Cordova of Rancho Cordova as he scored five touchdowns and ran for 239 yards in the Eagles' 41-23 win.
Andy Heimer & Alec Gletzer (Los Gatos): Junior running back Heimer rushed for four touchdowns and kicked seven PATs in the Wildcats' 49-14 victory over Cupertino Homestead. Gletzer lead the defense with 16 tackles and a sack.
William Hinn (Saddleback Valley Christian): Piled up five touchdowns, four on the ground (53, 19, 3 and 17) and one on a reception in a 54-51 shootout win over Fairmont Prep.
Alec Jaffe (Laguna Beach): Although Jaffe rushed for 271 yards on 32 carries and scored twice, it wasn't nearly enough against Small School power Francis Parker of San Diego in a 49-24 setback.
Ricky Johnson (West Covina): Ran rampant for 275 yards, including a 94-yard touchdown among three scores, as West Covina rolled over Diamond Bar, 41-20.
Jacob Kuchinsky (Rancho Buena Vista, Vista): His 29 carries produced 236 yards and TDs of 11 and 18 yards in a comeback 34-23 win over Fallbrook in which teammate Wyler Smith stole some of the spotlight with a 100-yard fumble return for a score.
Jimmy Laughrea (Rocklin): The Thunder moved to 5-0 on the year as he passed for 269 yards and four touchdowns while also running for two more scores in a 49-21 win over Napa.
Sean Mannion (Foothill, Pleasanton): His team lost for the second week in-a-row, this time 34-26 to Danville San Ramon Valley, but even in defeat Oregon State-bound quarterback completed 27 of 49 passes for 356 yards and two TDs.
Austin Maranville (Linfield Christian, Temecula): Rolled up 289 yards on 32 carries and scored twice as Linfield downed Horizon of San Diego, 28-7.
James McConico (Compton): After being slowed by a lacerated hand in a loss to Lakewood, McConico lugged the leather 12 times for 277 yards and four touchdowns during a 61-19 victory over Cabrillo of Long Beach. Last season, the second team all-state underclass back rushed for 1,234 yards on only 72 carries and has a chance to break the school career record of 11.9 yards per carry held by Donald Green. Between 2005 and 2007, Green gained 3,327 yards on 279 carries.
A.J. McKay (Desert Chapel, Palm Springs): McKay scored six touchdowns and rushed for 163 yards in the Eagles' 48-0 win over Cal Lutheran.
Ricardo "Kiki” Mendez (Novato): Was everywhere in the Hornets 59-0 dismantling of Drake. He rushed for three touchdowns on offense and on defense had a pass interception, 13 tackles with three for loss, and a sack.
Joshua Monroy (Calistoga): The hot springs in this resort town are wonderful, but the spring water isn't the only thing hot in town. Last week at home against Potter Valley in a 34-14 victory, the RB/LB got it done on both sides of the ball. The Wildcats leading runner had 93 yards rushing and one TD, plus a two-point conversion on offense. On the other side of the ball, he recorded 15 tackles with two sacks.
Adrian Muguerza (Westlake, Westlake Village): Helped his team up its won-loss record to a perfect 5-0 by picking off two enemy passes, one he returned 21 yards for a touchdown, during a 51-7 victory over Agoura of Agoura Hills.
Akeelie Muhammad (Cypress): Scored on runs of 32, 69, 49, one and one yard while gaining 241 yards on just 15 attempts in a 48-0 win over University of Irvine.
Trevor Olson (Cathedral, Los Angeles): One of the state's leading passers was at it again in a 69-7 rout of Santa Clara of Oxnard. He tossed five touchdown passes and completed 18 of 25 aerials for 313 yards. So far this season, he's thrown for 1,517 yards and 21 touchdowns against only two interceptions. Highly-regarded Anthony Jefferson caught three of the touchdown passes and finished with five receptions for 134 yards.
Kyle Olugbode (Bellarmine, San Jose): Makes a second straight appearance after returning two kickoffs of 98 and 96 yards for touchdowns as the Bells tolled for San Jose Valley Christian in an impressive 54-24 victory.
Clyde Paschal Jr. & Ronnell Pompey (Fairfax, Los Angeles): Quarterback Paschal Jr. completed 20 of 29 passes for 333 yards and three touchdowns while Pompey caught 11 of those passes and turned them into 192 yards, but it wasn't enough as Fax lost a 48-42 nail-biter to L.A. Wilson. Two of Pompey's receptions went for scores.
Josh Quezada (La Habra): Scored three TDs en route to 249 yards on 32 carries, but it was his two-point conversion with nine seconds remaining that lifted La Habra past San Clemente, 29-28. With his team trailing by seven in the final seconds, Quezada scored his third touchdown of the game on a two-yard run before his clutch two-pointer. Teammate David Espino returned an interception 100 yards for another score.
Jimmy Quinones (El Segundo): Had two interceptions, including one that was returned 35 yards for a touchdown, to spoil Bishop Montgomery of Torrance's homecoming, 27-10.
Shavonce Raiford (Foothill, Sacramento): He averaged almost 15 yards per carry against Cosumnes Oaks of Elk Grove, as he rushed for 307 yards and scored five touchdowns as the Mustangs moved to 3-2 on the year with a 52-17 victory.
Deon Randall (Francis Parker, San Diego): Accounted for five touchdowns in leading the Lancers past Laguna Beach, 49-24. Randall ran for scores of 30, 16 and 73 yards in addition to passing for 27 and 80-yard TDs.
Jeremiah Rideaux (Savanna, Anaheim): Tough one for Rideaux as he gained 257 yards on just 25 carries -- better than a first down a tote -- scoring twice in a 28-27 loss to Troy of Fullerton.
Damian Robinson (Carter, Riverside): Piled up 343 yards on 26 carries, including two touchdowns for the Lions, in a 47-6 win over Eisenhower (Rialto).
Alex Sanchez (Orange): Four short scoring jaunts of 3, 11, 1 and 6 yards were part of a 38-carry, 279-yard evening as Orange downed El Modena, 42-36, for its first win of the season.
Austin Shull (Montgomery, Santa Rosa): The 6-0, 195-pound safety tied the state record by returning three punts of 24, 31 and 60 yards for touchdowns in the Vikings' 51-12 win over Santa Rosa Elsie Allen. The feat ties Shull with Weaverville Trinity's Ray Fullerton, who set the record against Yreka in 1966, and Grass Valley Nevada Union's Cole Stanford, who matched the mark in a 77-7 win against Elk Grove Franklin last year. Shull, the Vikings leading tackler, also had a sack against Elsie Allen.
Alejandro Solorzano (West Torrance): Came up with two second-half interceptions as West held rival North Torrance to a mere field goal in a 10-3 victory. He returned the first pick 43 yards to a field goal and the other killed a pivotal North Torrance drive in the fourth quarter.
Kyle Todd (San Lorenzo Valley, Felton): A Nike Combine standout last spring, Todd is a 6-2, 220-pound specimen who has been the leading rusher in the Monterey Bay Area. In last week's 28-14 victory over Aptos, Todd rushed for 195 yards on 39 carries, scored twice, and had a 61-yard kickoff return. So far this year, he's been over 100 yards in all six games and has more than 1,000 yards in all to go with 15 touchdowns.
Sam Tuivailala (Aragon, San Mateo): The Dons' quarterback did everything he could, but his team still came up on the short end in a 35-27 loss to Sunnyvale King's Academy in Aragon's first ever night game at the school. He passed for a TD, rushed for three more, and kicked three PATs, but unfortunately it was all in the first half when his team led 27-21.
Stanton Upson (Valley Center): Upson wasn't sure what was more fun, rushing for 258 yards on 49 carries, scoring on 20, 10 and 4-yard runs, or being selected Homecoming King in a 21-16 win over Westview of San Diego.
Terron Ward (De La Salle, Concord): Some guys pile up numbers against weak or mediocre teams but not this 5-8, 193-pound rock solid back who was also a member of the Spartans 4 x 100 relay team that took third place at the State Track meet last June in Clovis. Rushing against state-ranked Danville Monte Vista in a 28-21 victory, Ward gained 398 yards on 28 carries with one TD, a run of 27 yards.
Brandon Warr (Fairmont Prep, Anaheim): Returned kickoffs for scores of 70 and 78 yards and caught another TD pass, but it wasn't enough in a 54-51 loss to Saddleback Valley Christian.
Dalton Williams (Burroughs, Burbank): His rushing storm was more than the Hoover of Glendale Tornadoes could handle as he whipped his way to 218 yards rushing and four touchdowns on just 15 carries in a 45-7 victory for the Indians.
Desmond Williams (Lynwood): Led the Knights to a 55-20 victory over Lawndale by rushing for 205 yards on only 11 carries and hitting pay dirt twice. He also recovered a fumble in the end zone for another six-pointer.
Ellis Willoughby (Manual Arts, Los Angeles): Last season the once-proud Toilers lost to first-year program Firebaugh of Lynwood during an 0-10 campaign. But in the second-year under coach Christian Salazar, The Arts is showing signs of slowly becoming competitive again. One of the reasons for this turnaround is dedicated players such as this junior running back. He rushed for 157 yards on 12 carries and scored two touchdowns on the ground. He also caught a 38-yard touchdown pass from QB Anthony Rivas and returned a punt 90-yards for a fourth score for a team that is riding a three-game winning streak.
Marquess Wilson & Xavier Stephens (Tulare Union): The Redskins dominated against Granite Hills of Porterville, as they picked up a 60-0 victory with Wilson catching four touchdown passes in the first half and Stephens rushing for 148 yards and four touchdowns on just nine carries.
David Woolbert (Northwood, Irvine): Piled up 275 yards and three touchdowns rushing on just 15 attempts in Northwood's 42-27 victory over Los Amigos of Fountain Valley.
