Illinois LB Wilson to miss Northwestern game

Illinois sophomore linebacker Martez Wilson will miss Saturday's regular-season finale at Northwestern after violating team rules. Wilson, a Chicago native, didn't make the trip to Evanston with the team.

If Illinois doesn't reach the postseason, this is a disappointing end to a disappointing season for Wilson, a highly touted recruit who was listed on the preseason Butkus Award watch list. Senior Sam Carson likely will get the start against Northwestern.
